Privacy Policy

Draft for review by qualified Indian counsel before launch. It describes how the website, webinar, membership and WhatsApp companion currently handle data. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025 are being brought into force in phases (most obligations from 14 May 2027); this policy will be updated accordingly.

Who we are

Better Parents Club (“BPC”, “we”) provides parenting education through this website, live webinars, a membership programme and a WhatsApp companion. For privacy questions, message us on WhatsApp.

What we collect, and why

• Webinar registration: first name, email, optional WhatsApp number, and an optional broad age band for your child (for example “2–3 years”). Used to send joining details, reminders and the replay, and to tailor examples. We do not ask for children’s names, photos, schools or exact birth dates on the website.
• Contact form: your name, email and message, used to reply to you.
• Membership: email, first name, plan and subscription status. Payments are handled by Razorpay; we never receive or store your full card or UPI details.
• WhatsApp companion: your WhatsApp number and name, and the information you choose to share to personalise daily activities — your child’s first name, date of birth, and optional details such as likes, dislikes, temperament or general sensitivities — plus your messages. This information is used only to personalise activities and replies.
• Website analytics: pages visited, approximate location, device type and how you interact with the site (via Google Analytics and PostHog). We do not send names, emails, phone numbers or child information to analytics, and we do not use behavioural advertising or build profiles of children.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run BPC, under their own security and privacy terms: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), WATI (WhatsApp messaging), AI model providers accessed through OpenRouter and Google (to generate personalised activity messages and replies in the WhatsApp companion), Razorpay (payments), an email delivery provider (sign-in links), and Google Analytics and PostHog (analytics). Some providers may process data outside India.

YouTube videos

Where we show YouTube videos, nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. Once you do, YouTube’s privacy policy applies to that video.

Children

BPC is for adults. Children do not have accounts and do not take part in the community. We keep child-related information to the minimum needed to personalise suggestions for parents.

How long we keep data

We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose above, or as required by law. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from webinar messages at any time.
• Stop the WhatsApp companion by messaging “stop”, or reset your information by messaging “reset”.
• Ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to withdraw consent, by contacting us as above.

Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls and signed, time-limited sign-in links. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach where required by law.

Changes

We will post updates here and, for significant changes, notify registered users.
